Tampa’s shocking incident revealed: 14-year-old chased 16-year-old with gun before Tampa shooting

A 14-year-old child was arrested in connection with a gunshot after police claimed he was caught on video chasing a 16-year-old boy with a gun.

Police said they were dispatched to the 8500 block of North Armenia Avenue shortly before 3:45 p.m. Friday after receiving reports of a shooting.

Witnesses informed investigators that the shooting occurred following a fight near a bus stop in Armenia.

According to authorities, a video of the encounter shows a 14-year-old boy chasing a 16-year-old with a gun in hand.

The 16-year-old was shot and his health is unknown.

According to Tampa police, the 14-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony with a weapon, attempted murder in the first degree, aggravated violence with great bodily harm or dangerous weapon carrying a hidden handgun, and juvenile in possession of a firearm.
