Glens Falls Symphony to perform Peter and the Wolf for various schools.

School children in Washington, Warren and Saratoga counties are in for a treat next week when they get to see a live performance of “Peter and the Wolf” put on by the Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra.

“Peter and the Wolf” uses instruments to bring the story to life. Different instruments represent the different animals in the story.

The symphony will perform the concert for 1,400 children.

The first performance is Tuesday, Nov. 19 at Hudson Falls High School and there will be students from Hudson Falls, Glens Falls and Corinth in attendance. NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland will be the guest narrator.

Glens Falls is the smallest city if America to have a full professional symphony orchestra.

The performance will be repeated Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Ticonderoga High School.
