Sheriff: Schenectady man had cocaine, fentanyl

A man from Schenectady is charged with fentanyl and cocaine possession.

During a narcotics trafficking investigation, deputies apprehended 47-year-old Tavio T. Fredericks in Albany near Central Avenue and Lexington Avenue. According to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, Fredericks is suspected of possessing 5 grams of fentanyl and 43 grams of cocaine.

Fredericks was accused of using drug paraphernalia and possessing a controlled substance on two separate occasions.

He was taken to Albany County Jail after being arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court.
