Man, 73, gets 1 to 3 years in prison for DWI conviction

On Friday, a 73-year-old man from Mechanicville received a sentence of one to three years in jail for at least his third conviction for DWI.

On July 11, Saratoga County Sheriff’s officers in Malta took Edward J. Young into custody. He was operating a vehicle while intoxicated. According to the authorities, Young’s driver’s license was revoked and he lacked an ignition interlock device.

In September, Young entered a guilty plea to DWI in Saratoga County Court. Due to his two prior offenses within the last ten years, the charge constituted a felony.
