Greene County plane crash under investigation

A plane crash is being investigated by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday, November 24, at approximately 6:10 p.m., a Cessna T210L crashed in a remote area of Windham. The pilot and three dogs were on the plane as it flew from Maryland to Albany.

The Civil Air Patrol, the Windham and Hensonville fire departments, Greene County Emergency Services, the State Police, and the New York State Forest Rangers provided assistance on the scene.

The inquiry is underway, and the FAA is responding.
