Clifton Park man gets jail time for threatening person, police

For keeping someone against their will and putting them in a standoff with police, a man from Clifton Park received a sentence of almost four months in prison.

On March 4, State Police arrived at a residence in Clifton Park and took 54-year-old Nicholas J. Lamboy into custody.Lamboy was brandishing a knife at someone.After escaping, the victim proceeded to a local police station.

Lamboy was uncooperative and at first refused to leave when troopers arrived, according to authorities. He approached troopers brandishing a weapon. Eventually, he dropped the weapon, but he fought being taken into custody.

In September, Lamboy entered a guilty plea to two menacing charges. He was also put on a five-year probationary period.
