12-Year-Old Burned in Sleepover Prank After Friends Pour Scalding Water on Him

(Thedailymiaminews) TIFTON, GA– Three of his buddies allegedly poured boiling water on a 12-year-old child from Tifton, who is currently recuperating from severe burns. The boys said this was meant to be a practical joke. The three lads, ages 12 to 15, are now being charged with serious crimes.

The majority of the boy’s face is now covered with second-degree burns. His mother wants to tell his story but wants to keep his identity a secret.

I mean, I’m at a loss for words right now. I was just shocked, angry, and hurt at the time. I was feeling quite angry about everything. “I just wanted to get him some help quickly,” said Tiffany, the victim’s mother.

According to Tiffany West, her son was playing video games with other youngsters at a neighbor’s apartment following a sleepover. According to the victim’s mother, one of the boys tossed the hot water on him while he was asleep.

“He was taken to the Augusta burn center. Surgery was necessary for him. Naturally, he is now recuperating at home after his surgery. However, it will take him 12 to 14 days to recover,” Tiffany added.

“You must be shocked to learn that your friends can harm you in this way. Just awful, like someone you trusted. Nachelle, the victim’s aunt, stated, “He never imagined something like this would happen to him.”

The family of the victim is fervently pursuing justice. They are aware that they have a long road ahead of them between getting better and paying their obligations.

Due to all the traveling, my brother and Tiffany have not had a job since this incident. She will continue to miss work in order to care for him during his recuperation. She must be present for him. He will need to receive mental health counseling in order to regain his ability to trust others,” Nachelle added.
