Mother Arrested After 11-Year-Old Boy Found Dead in Meridian, California

Thedailymiaminews– Southern County Authorities reported Sunday that a lady from Sutter County has been detained in connection with the discovery of her 11-year-old son dead inside a trailer at an RV park.

Around ten in the morning, the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about a woman who was causing a disturbance at Lovey’s Landing in Meridian while under the influence of drugs.

According to the sheriff’s office, here is where they discovered the dead dog and 11-year-old child inside a trailer.

Megan Dixon, 44, of Meridian, was taken into custody and charged with homicide and child endangerment, authorities said later Sunday afternoon. Dixon was identified as the boy’s mother by the sheriff’s office on Monday.

Before his body was discovered, investigators think the youngster had been dead for days.

The youngster was suffocated by Dixon, according to the sheriff’s office.

Although they don’t think there have been any calls for the trailer the youngster was found in, the sheriff’s office stated that it has been active in the RV park because of flooding and other issues.

A bail of $1,000,000 has been issued for Dixon, according to the sheriff’s office.

Meridian, which has a population of 400, is located roughly 55 miles northwest of Sacramento.
