Thedailymiaminews– Glendale, Arizona — A gunshot involving a Glendale police officer has left one person dead and another seriously injured, according to Glendale police.
On Wednesday night, Glendale police responded to a report of domestic abuse and located a car that fit the suspect’s description close to 47th and Olive Avenues. There was also a significant police presence in the neighborhood, according to Sky12 footage.
According to Glendale police spokesperson Jose Santiago, shots were fired after authorities tried to stop the car.
According to authorities, only one cop fired during the shooting, which took place inside the park. Police are attempting to determine the relationship between the two people who were shot, and no cops were hurt in the incident.
As part of the West Valley Task Force, the Peoria Police Department will assume responsibility for the investigation into the officer’s shooting.
