Village officials say Whitehall’s water supply has stabilized, but residents are still being urged to use it sparingly.
The village reported that testing has advanced. Planning for the subsequent phase of urgent repairs and longer-term fixes is also in progress.
It is still recommended that residents take shorter showers, refrain from filling sinks and bathtubs, and only run washing machines and dishwashers when they are completely loaded.
Before drinking, water must be boiled for at least a minute and then allowed to cool.
