Naomi Biden, Hunter Biden’s daughter, slammed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Wednesday, accusing the politician of “lying” at a House hearing her father attended.
Naomi Biden reacted angrily to Greene’s statements that Hunter Biden had “fled the scene” of a committee hearing room after Greene began exposing “the truth” about Biden.
“Actually, it appears that everyone fled the scene when she started lying,” Naomi Biden said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Hunter Biden made an unexpected appearance before a House Oversight and Accountability Committee markup on Wednesday, just before the committee passed a resolution holding him in contempt of Congress for allegedly defying a December subpoena.
With Hunter Biden’s entrance, fireworks erupted. He waited in the room for a few moments as Republicans and Democrats fought on the panel before abruptly leaving with his entourage.
As Biden exited the hearing room, Greene was speaking.
“WOW – Hunter Biden fled the scene when I started exposing the truth behind the Biden Crime Family,” Greene wrote in a post on X “It’s too bad his father can’t save him this time.” We have piles of proof of Biden family corruption and foreign influence peddling, and these crimes will be prosecuted.”
In an interview that aired Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” First Lady Jill Biden was asked how she is dealing with Republican allegations leveled about her family, particularly Hunter.
“I think what they are doing to Hunter is cruel, and I’m really proud of how Hunter has rebuilt his life after addiction,” she said. “I love my son, and it’s hurt my grandchildren.”
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) expressed her disgust with the president’s son’s appearance during the session, asking “Who bribed Hunter Biden to be here?”
“You are the personification of white privilege.” Entering the Oversight Committee, spitting in our faces, and refusing a congressional subpoena to be deposed. What are you scared of? “You don’t have the guts to come up here,” Mace remarked.
“I think that Hunter Biden should be arrested right here, right now, and go straight to jail,” she said.
Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) both chastised Mace for her “white privilege” remark.
“I just want to go back to the beginning because this is something I just can’t get over.” “I just can’t get the lady from South Carolina talking about white privilege out of my head,” Crockett remarked later in the hearing. “It was a spit in the face, at least of mine as a Black woman, for you to talk about what white privilege looks like, especially from that side of the aisle.”
“Ya’ll don’t know what white privilege looks like,” she went on to say.
