Police say an Alabama lady called in a phony burglary because she was afraid of the weather and wanted police to come to her house.
Kelley Carole Giniebra, 39, reportedly contacted 911 on January 9 to report a burglary in her home.
When officers arrived, they established that no burglary had occurred at the property.
Investigators found that Giniebra had falsely reported the crime to the police in order for investigators to reach her residence as soon as possible.
According to authorities, Giniebra did this because she was afraid about the inclement weather that day.
Giniebra was arrested and charged with one count of filing a false report with law police.
