A Bowling Green man was hospitalized Wednesday night following a shooting on Clay Street.
Bowling Green Police responded to Clay Street at 8:38 p.m. after a witness reported a man had been shot inside a home in the Hummingbird Apartments neighborhood.
Police discovered Kaelin Yarbrough in the living room. He informed authorities that he was in an alleyway on West 12th Avenue when he was approached by a man he knew, who then shot him.
Witnesses informed police that Yarbrough ran to their apartment and began banging on the door, claiming he had been shot.
Yarbrough was rushed to The Medical Center for treatment and informed officials that the event occurred near West 15th Avenue and Stubbins Street.
According to police, Yarbrough was treated and discharged from the hospital, but he was arrested on charges unrelated to the shooting.
Police say they have a suspect, but no arrests have been made at this point.
