According to the Tampa Police Department (TPD), a guy was struck with a machete after arguing with another man at a gas station on Sunday evening.
On Sunday evening, TPD officers went to a reported disturbance at the Wawa gas station at 401 N. Dale Mabry Highway. Officers discovered a 42-year-old guy named Douglas Millican with a wound on his upper right arm.
The investigation indicated that Millican had a verbal argument with Curtis Stewart, Jr., 41. According to police, Millican pushed Stewart in the chest.
Stewart then walked outside and got the machete that was placed on his bike frame. He returned to the store and attacked Millican in the upper right arm, resulting in a severe cut.
Millican, who was charged with violence, was treated on the scene for non-life-threatening injuries before being sent to a local hospital. Stewart was detained without incident and charged with aggravated violence with a firearm.
