Four Arrested for Murder in Mysterious Abduction of Two Mothers on their Way to Pick Up The Kids: Cops

Oklahoma police have arrested four persons in connection with the inexplicable disappearance of two women who were reported missing two weeks ago and presumed dead.

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, were on their way to pick up children in rural Oklahoma on March 30 from southern Kansas when they disappeared. Authorities discovered their abandoned car at Highway 95 and Road L in Texas County, Oklahoma, near the Kansas border. The disappearance was deemed mysterious, and evidence suggested foul play.

According to unidentified sources, cops discovered the automobile roughly 1,000 feet off the road. The car had a minor amount of blood inside, and there were “puddles of blood” outside. Butler and Kelley, who were on their way to pick up Buter’s children, are suspected to have been shot, according to the publication. Buter and Kelley’s bodies have yet to be discovered despite extensive searches.

Tad Bert Cullum, 43, Tiffany Machel Adams, 54, Cole Earl Twombly, 50, and Cora Twombly, 44, were arrested by police on Saturday. They are each charged with two charges of first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping, and one count of conspiracy to conduct first-degree murder, according to authorities.

News Nation reports. Adams is Butler’s children’s paternal grandmother, and Cullum is her lover. According to the outlet, Buter and the children’s father were in a custody struggle, and she had petitioned the court for additional visitation with the children.
