Firefighter from Phoenix Arrested on Sexual Assault Allegations

A Phoenix firefighter is charged with many counts of sexual assault and abuse, according to newly discovered court documents.

According to court documents, Jonathan Alexander Estrella, 50, was recently served with a grand jury arrest warrant for incidents occurring between 2006 and 2023.

The records go into detail about the alleged assault after he met up with a woman for drinks in October 2006, as well as another incident that occurred 17 years later, in December 2023, at a bar along the Loop 101 motorway and Camelback Road in the West Valley.

To preserve the victims’ identity, Arizona’s family has declined to provide any information.

Phoenix Fire confirmed to Arizona’s Family that they are aware of the claims against Estrella. He has been on administrative leave for nearly a month and has worked at the department for 22 years.

“We have three women in this case. There was alcohol involved. “These are extremely serious charges,” the state’s representative stated in court Friday. “While Mr. Estrella may not pose a flight risk, the court has to weigh that against the nature of these offences and the protection of the community, particularly women.”

Estrella has been placed into Maricopa County Jail with a $75,000 bond. He is currently facing two counts of sexual assault, attempted sexual abuse, and kidnapping.
