The death of a kid has resulted in the prosecution of a Walkertown man for the crime of murder.
According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, a kid who was under the age of six years old passed away on Thursday as a consequence of injuries that were acquired as a result of alleged child abuse actions that took place on July 21.
Following discussions with the District Attorney’s Office, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has decided to prosecute James Wilford Huff, who is 34 years old, with one count of felony murder.
No bond is permitted for Huff, who is now being kept in custody at the Forsyth County Detention Center.
A court appearance is scheduled for him on Friday.

On July 21, at approximately 11:45 p.m., deputies from Forsyth County responded to the 6000 block of Cain Forest Drive in response to an incident that was suspected to involve the abuse of a child.
According to the information provided to the authorities upon their arrival, it seemed possible that the youngster had pushed a pot of boiling water from the kitchen stove over themselves.
According to the deputies, over the course of the inquiry, it was discovered that the youngster had been submerged in a tub of boiling hot water. This was in line with the significant injuries that were found on the body of the child.
James Wilford Huff, 34, of Walkertown was taken into custody and charged with one count of felony intentional child abuse inflicting serious injury on Thursday, according to the deputies from the Walkertown station.
After making an appearance before a magistrate, Huff was granted a secured bond in the amount of $300,000.
On Friday, Huff is scheduled to make an appearance in court.
