Police: Gloversville man stole drugs from ambulance service

A Gloversville man is accused of stealing drugs from the ambulance company where he worked.

State Police said Wayne M. Allan, 34, was in charge of keeping inventory of medications used by the St. Johnsville-based ambulance service. Allan allegedly falsified business records on multiple occasions to divert the drugs to himself from 2023 to 2024. That resulted in a theft of more than $3,000, police said. Allan also had a controlled substance, police said.

Allan was charged on Oct. 28 with grand larceny, falsifying business records and criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Amsterdam City Court on Nov. 12.
