Police: Man told woman at Schenectady bus stop to get into truck

Schenectady Police are investigating an incident in which a man approached a woman at a bus stop and told her to get into his truck.

It happened around 7:40 a.m. Friday at the bus stop in the area of Second Avenue and Bluff Avenue. Witnesses said a man driving a gray pickup truck drove up to a 19-year-old woman waiting for the bus and told her to get in. When she refused, police said he drove away.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle.

The student was not a student in the Schenectady schools. Police have contacted the district and there have been no other reports of suspicious activity.
