The tree that will be at the Empire State Plaza was cut down on Tuesday morning.

The Capital Region is getting in the holiday spirit.

This year’s tree is from Lindenwood Drive in Ballston Lake.

The tree will be lit on Dec. 8 in a ceremony including a visit from Santa and fireworks.

Another tree from Bayberry Drive in Malta will be placed in East Capitol Park.
