Suspect shot by Albany Police arraigned in officer stabbing case

A man who was shot after allegedly stabbing a police officer in Albany was arraigned on Tuesday morning.

Eric Frazier, 56, is charged with attempted murder, attempted assault, and resisting arrest. Frazier was wanted on an outstanding warrant when they tried arresting him in 2022, police said. That’s when he allegedly stabbed an officer in the arm.

Frazier was shot in the chest.

He was sent to Albany County Jail without bail
