Man hurt in Schenectady stabbing

Schenectady Police are investigating a stabbing that happened early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the area of Euclid Avenue at around 12:12 a.m. for a report of a man who had been stabbed. They found the victim with a stab wound to his chest and a cut on his shin, Schenectady Police said. The man told police he was walking on Arthur Street, when someone he didn’t know approached and stabbed him.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery.

No arrests have been made in the case.
