Man gets 25 years to life in 2023 killing of Albany barber

A Clifton Park man was sentenced on Friday to 25 years to life in prison for killing an Albany barber last year.

Timmoure Miller, 19, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the shooting of Tyrone Staley on May 13, 2023. Staley was cutting hair at Village Barber and Beauty on 2nd Avenue in Albany. A 19-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy in the barbershop also were hit by gunfire, but they survived.

The 9-year-old boy was the grandson of Reginald Graham, the owner of the barbershop and a pastor. Graham previously told NewsChannel 13 that he believed that the target of the shooting was outside the barbershop.

Miller also must serve 5 years of post-release supervision.

Charges are still pending against Dejoune Smith and Samir Princeton.
