Lake George hosting ‘Lite Up The Village’ holiday celebration over Thanksgiving weekend

If you are looking for something to do with the family on Thanksgiving weekend, Lake George has you covered.

The community is promising its biggest holiday celebration ever on Saturday, November 30. It starts at 3 p.m. and called ‘Lite Up The Village.’  It features bands, including the Newell family, Rich Ortiz, and Suzie Q.

When the music stops, the village will flip the switch on thousands of lights, including the new walk-through display in Wood Park, modeled after Albany’s former ‘Lights In The Park.’

NewsChannel13’s Mark Mulholland will be emceeing, including the ugly sweater contest.

There is a sing-along and a fireworks display at 6:30 p.m. After the fireworks, there will be a parade of lights through the village and a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The event is completely free.
