Crews battling Great Barrington wildfire

A brush fire is burning around 10 acres in Great Barrington.

The fire appears to have started Tuesday around midnight on East Mountain,according to NewsChannel 13 s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle.

Fire officials at the Great Barrington Fire Station told the paper that they need to hike on foot to fight the fire. They are also using a drone to monitor its extent.

The smoke continued rising over the mountain east of downtown on Tuesday morning, the paper reported.

No one has been injured and the fire does not pose a danger to property, according to Eagle.
