Police: Florida man had guns in vehicle at Naval nuclear lab in Saratoga County

At the Naval nuclear facility in Saratoga County, a guy from Florida is accused of carrying firearms in his car.

Around 12:15 p.m. on November 20, troopers were called to the Kenneth A. Kesselring Site in Milton in response to a report of firearms discovered during a standard security check.

Rolando M. Perez-Ruiz, 33, of Odessa, was found in possession of many firearms, firearm components, illegally obtained high-capacity magazines, and ammunition in the car on the premises, according to State Police. According to authorities, Perez-Ruiz, who works for a private transportation company, was at the facility to accept a delivery.

He didn’t show off his firearms.

Eight counts of criminal possession of a weapon were brought against Perez-Ruiz. In Milton Town Court, he was arraigned and taken to the Saratoga County Jail in exchange for a $250,000 partially secured bond, a $50,000 bond, or $25,000 in cash.
