On Nov. 23, the 15th annual Light Up Key Largo brought back the holiday joy to the Murray Nelson Government Center, drawing children to the snow and Santa Claus. Holly, the 45-foot Christmas tree, was lit to open the evening, which was organized by the Key Largo Community Preservation Foundation. Tykes had fun baking cookies, riding trains, bouncing in a snow machine, and more. In addition, there were food sellers, nonprofit booths, music from the Mangrove Swamp band, and dance performances from Spotlight Dance Studio.
