Voorheesville World War II veteran dies at 102

The death of a local World War II warrior who aided in the liberation of the French people.

Voorheesville native Ken Bailey participated on D-day in 1944.

Over the years, NewsChannel 13 has covered Bailey in a number of stories, including one on his 100th birthday and this year’s celebration of Military Appreciation Day at the Saratoga Race Track.

For his valiant exploits throughout the war, France awarded him a medal.

The age of Bailey was 102 years old.

We praise him for his service and salute him.
