A man from Pattersonville is charged with leading sheriff’s deputies on a foot and vehicle pursuit.
On Nov. 26 at around 2:30 a.m., deputies were sent to the town of Charlton, near the intersection of Route 147 and Route 67, after receiving a complaint of a vehicle that had escaped from State Police. They attempted to stop a car that fit that description. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office claims that the motorist, 41-year-old Steven A. Mango, is refusing to stop.
After that, Mango drove on into Glenville, where he lost control of the car and collided with an embankment. Then, in order to avoid being arrested, he fled.
Mango was accused with carrying four grams of cocaine.
He was accused of illegally evading a police officer in a car, failing to use a designated lane, and criminally possessing a prohibited narcotic.
Mango was handed over to the Schenectady Police Department on outstanding warrants after being released on an appearance ticket.
