Police: Amsterdam woman arrested after giving fake names linked to warrants

A lady from Amsterdam is being charged with several offenses after police claimed she provided a false name and had outstanding warrants.

On Sunday, December 1, Frankie L. Ballou, 33, was stopped by a deputy in the Dunkin’ parking lot on Route 30 in Amsterdam.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Ballou gave a fictitious name.

There were open criminal cases associated with the name. Ballou was taken into custody on suspicion of criminal impersonation, unlicensed operation, aggravated unlicensed operation, and uninspected motor vehicle.

According to investigators, her license has been suspended multiple times.

She was taken to Montgomery County Jail after being arraigned. Investigators stated that additional charges could be brought.
