23-year-old Man Killed, 2 Injured in Early Morning Crash on North Collins Street in Arlington

Arlington police said that a man died and two others were injured in a two-car incident on North Collins Street early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to the crash in the 2400 block of North Collins around 6:30 a.m., according to an Arlington Police Department press release.

A Mazda 3 carrying two individuals northbound drove into oncoming traffic, colliding with a Chevrolet Suburban SUV carrying two others.

A 23-year-old Grand Prairie man who was a passenger in the Mazda was pronounced deceased after being transported to the hospital, according to Arlington police.

The Mazda driver and an SUV passenger are being treated in the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The SUV driver was not transported to a hospital.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the guy who died.

According to the announcement, Arlington police halted the north and southbound lanes of North Collins Street for approximately three hours to conduct an investigation.

The enquiry is ongoing, and no charges have been filed.
