NEW YORK (AP) Following dozens of injury reports, over a million pairs of oven gloves are being recalled for posing a burn hazard.
About 1.1 million Temp-tations Oven Gloves are being recalled by video and online retailer QVC due to their inadequate heat protection. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a warning released Thursday that QVC has been notified of 162 cases of inadequate heat protection, including 92 minor burns.
Customers who own the recalled gloves are advised to cease using them right once and get in touch with QVC to get a refund. The recall sonline registration page has additional details.
The recall notification states that from August 2018 to August 2024, the oven gloves were offered for sale for $4 to $13 per pair online at qvc.com and through QVC’s televised and digital shopping channels.
The items, which were available in a variety of hues and patterns, were either single pairs or sets. On Thursday’s announcement notes, a label inside the gloves reads “Temptations by Tara.” Additionally, the model numbers K51459, K76398, K47973, K48879, K85322, K96004, K92603, K308719, K309220, K309388, and K309516 can be used to identify the recalled gloves.
