According to the police, a young person died on Saturday afternoon after falling through the ice close to the Lake House in Albany’s Washington Park.
According to the police, two persons broke through the ice. Just after 7 p.m. on Saturday, rescue crews retrieved a body from the water that they thought was that of a youngster.
A girl is currently in critical condition at Albany Medical Center after the other person fell through.
Police from Albany arrived on the scene just after 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
According to Police Chief Brendan Cox, the two individuals were juveniles, possibly in their early teens, and it’s possible that the girl followed the boy into the lake in an attempt to save him.
As workers searched for the small kid for hours, Albany police joined New York State Police and firefighters in rescue boats on the lake.
