Luxury real estate brokers charged in federal indictment with sex trafficking in NYC

NEW YORK (AP) A federal indictment unsealed in Manhattan on Wednesday charged two high-end real estate brokers and their brother with sex trafficking.

The accusation from federal prosecutors claims that Oren, Tal Alexander, who was well-known for negotiating sales of upscale real estate in Miami and New York City, and his brother Alon Alexander conspired to forcefully and repeatedly drug, sexually attack, and rape hundreds of people.

At a press appearance in his Manhattan office, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams announced the charges, calling the behavior “heinous.”

Williams claimed that from at least 2010 to 2021, the brothers exploited victims by abusing their riches and power.

The ladies were frequently lured and enticed into traveling with the brothers or attending parties or gatherings where they paid for flights, accommodations, and other expenditures by promising a romantic engagement.

One or more of the brothers, together with other individuals, subsequently drugged and sexually assaulted the ladies, according to the U.S. Attorney.

According to Williams, the brothers frequently handed their victims upscale goods and concert tickets after the attacks.

Williams claims that in addition to using party organizers to find women, the brothers frequently found their victims through social ties or dating applications.

According to him, they also regularly kept the ladies physically bound and secluded from other people while they were being assaulted, and they gave them substances like cocaine, mushrooms, and GBH.

According to Williams, the brothers will be taken to New York to face the accusations after being captured in Florida on Wednesday. Since the investigation is still underway, he declined to say whether additional people will face charges as well.

Williams stated that they were not acting alone.
