Gloversville man gets 10 years in prison on federal drug charges

On Thursday, a Gloversville man was found guilty of federal narcotics offenses and given a 10-year prison sentence.

Previously, 51-year-old Lamont McWhite entered a guilty plea to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl, cocaine, cocaine base, and methamphetamine.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, McWhite acknowledged distributing cocaine four times between June and August 2022. Prosecutors also claim that he had around 292 grams of methamphetamine, 506 grams of cocaine, 49 grams of cocaine base, and 37 grams of fentanyl in his possession and intended for distribution.
