Police: Woman drove drunk, crashed vehicle into creek

A lady from Hamilton County is charged with driving under the influence after colliding her car with a creek last month.

State Police responded to a complaint of a lady injured near Tanner Road in Hope on November 1 at approximately 3:15 a.m. On Creek Road, troopers discovered an unoccupied car that had crashed off the road and into a creek.

Elizabeth Ryan, 45, of Piseco, was discovered by police at a house on Hope Falls Road. Due to her injuries, she was brought to the hospital.

According to reports, Ryan declined to give a sample so that her blood alcohol content could be measured.

She faced DWI charges. She had a prior DWI conviction, according to the police, and her driver’s license was invalid at the time of the collision.

On December 8, Rayn turned herself in to the police. Her court date is January 7.
