Arrest made in Rotterdam Walmart shots-fired incident

Manief Mullins, 24, of Schenectady, has been taken into custody by Rotterdam Police in relation to the shooting incident at a Walmart, the police announced Sunday morning.

The Walmart on Altamont Avenue was the scene of the incident on Saturday at approximately 2:50 p.m.

According to the police, they were called to the store after hearing gunshots. Police on the site were informed by Walmart Loss Prevention officers that they tried to prevent a man suspect from stealing.

Mullins fled the business after refusing to stop for security, according to the results of the inquiry. According to police, he fired several shots from a handgun as he ran away.
