Manief Mullins, 24, of Schenectady, has been taken into custody by Rotterdam Police in relation to the shooting incident at a Walmart, the police announced Sunday morning.
The Walmart on Altamont Avenue was the scene of the incident on Saturday at approximately 2:50 p.m.
According to the police, they were called to the store after hearing gunshots. Police on the site were informed by Walmart Loss Prevention officers that they tried to prevent a man suspect from stealing.
Mullins fled the business after refusing to stop for security, according to the results of the inquiry. According to police, he fired several shots from a handgun as he ran away.
No injuries were reported, according to the police.
Mullins, the suspect, was apprehended without any problems, according to the authorities. He is currently an active NYS parolee, according to the police.

According to the police, Mullins was taken to the Schenectady County Jail to await arraignment after being processed on the following charges.
