Minneapolis, MN — Authorities are searching for two siblings, Alonzo Lee Morse, 12, and Deneja Leanna Raquel Morse, 13, who disappeared after getting off their school bus in Uptown on Thursday afternoon.
The Minneapolis Police Department reports that the children, students at Anderson United Middle School near Abbott Northwestern Hospital, were last seen near the intersection of West 32nd Street and Emerson Avenue South.
Description of the Missing Children
Both Alonzo and Deneja are Black, stand approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weigh around 120 pounds.
- Alonzo Morse: He has shorter hair than in previously circulated photos. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a green and black vest, a black hoodie, black pants, and white Nike Air Force One shoes.
- Deneja Morse: She was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.
Family Ties and Recent Movements
The siblings live in Uptown but also have family in the Willard-Hay neighborhood of Minneapolis. Police mentioned that their grandmother is currently staying in a hotel near downtown Minneapolis, which could be relevant in the search.
