NEWARK, NJ Thedailymiaminews — A 26-year-old Florida woman who was reported missing in New Jersey has been found safe, authorities announced Friday.
Teresa Maki, a resident of West Palm Beach, disappeared after arriving at Newark Liberty International Airport on December 24 with a male companion. Police reported that the pair set off an alarm in Terminal C around 11:30 p.m., prompting their detention.
First responders transported Maki and her companion to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for evaluation, citing concerns about their emotional well-being. However, Maki was reported missing from the hospital on December 27. Authorities suggested she might have been heading to Brooklyn.
Following an intensive search, the Newark Department of Public Safety confirmed that Maki was located unharmed. Additional details about her disappearance or recovery have not been released at this time.
