Teen Shot Dead Near Elementary Campus in Boyle Heights

Thedailymiamines (NY)-Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy that occurred Sunday afternoon in front of Sunrise Elementary School in Boyle Heights.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 3:10 p.m. near the intersection of Euclid Avenue and Seventh Street. Upon arrival, they discovered the teenager, whose family confirmed his age, had been fatally shot.

Details about what led to the shooting remain unclear, and homicide detectives spent the evening canvassing the area for witnesses and evidence.

The suspect was last seen driving a black or blue Honda Accord heading east on Seventh Street, according to the LAPD.
