Thedailymiaminews– The death of a woman whose body was discovered in a hotel room in Thousand Oaks is being investigated as a homicide after a guy called police on Monday night and claimed to have slain his fiancée.
According to a Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson, the man called at approximately 10:45 p.m. to report the fatality at the Palm Garden Hotel located in the 400 block of North Ventu Park Road.
The culprit, dressed in dark attire, black boots, and a jacket, was found and taken into custody by the arriving deputies.
Deputies discovered a dead woman in one of the hotel’s rooms. No details on who she is have been made public.
The suspect was observed being loaded into an ambulance and transported away on a trolley.
The man told dispatch that he was experiencing suicidal thoughts after murdering his fiancée the day before and then remaining in the room with her body, according to freelance media business RMG News.
No information on the woman’s death or the circumstances surrounding it has been verified by authorities.
Investigators did state that there are no public safety concerns and that they think the suspect acted alone.
According to the spokeswoman, the inquiry is still ongoing, but the hotel was not evacuated.
