Ohio Schools Cancel Classes Tuesday Amid Frigid Temperatures

Thedailymiaminews– Ohio— Due to dangerous traffic conditions and snow emergency, schools in Ohio will be closed tomorrow.

Snow crises of various intensities are causing closures and modifications to remote learning in a number of counties.

Fairfield County is still under a Level 2 Snow Emergency, and tomorrow Amanda Clearcreek Local Schools and Fairfield Union Local Schools will be closed.

With Pickaway County under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, nearby Circleville City Schools, Teays Valley Local Schools, and Jackson City Schools have also declared closures.

Logan Hocking Local Schools will be canceled tomorrow due to a Level 3 Snow Emergency in Hocking County.

Ross County is under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, and as a result, all of its schools—Bishop Flaget School, Pickaway Ross Vocational Center, Union Scioto Local Schools, and Ross County Christian Academy—are closed.

Other closures include Wellston City Schools in Jackson County, New Lexington City Schools in Perry County, Ridgewood Local Schools in Coshocton County, and Maysville Schools and Franklin Local Schools in Muskingum County.

Due to extreme weather, Morgan County is under a Level 3 Snow Emergency, and local schools will be closed through Wednesday.

The Franklin County Conservatory of Piano will adopt remote learning.

Trimold, LLC has canceled its second shift, and JATC Plumbers & Pipe Fitters has canceled evening sessions due to business closures.

As circumstances change, residents are encouraged to keep an eye out for updates from school systems and local authorities.
