Texas Crime Stoppers Offers $4,000 Reward for Fugitive Wanted in Harris County Murder

ThedailymiaminewsAustin, Texas — The reward for information leading to the arrest of Jrdon Mykel Joe, a 23-year-old Humble resident, has been raised by Texas officials to $4,000 for the month of January. Since August 2024, Joe has been wanted for murder in Harris County and is listed on the Texas 10 Most Wanted list.

According to a news statement from the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Joe has a criminal past that includes previous arrests for violent and narcotics offenses. He is accused of shooting a guy in a parking lot along IH-45 on July 12, 2024. He weighs roughly 160 pounds and is 5 feet 9 inches tall.

Through Texas Crime Stoppers, which provides monetary rewards for information that results in the apprehension of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, Sexual Offenders, or Criminal Illegal Immigrants, the Governor’s Public Safety Office is funding the award. 46 people were taken into custody by DPS and other agencies in 2024 after tips that led to arrests earned $32,000 in prizes.

Tipsters can use one of three channels to provide information in order to be eligible for cash rewards: via Facebook, the DPS website, or the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477). Tipsters are given a tip number rather than their name, and all tips are kept anonymous.

To choose fugitives for the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists, DPS investigators work with regional law enforcement organizations. The DPS website has up-to-date lists and images.
