Gautier High School Mourns Student’s Death After Medical Emergency at Fieldhouse

Thedailymiaminews– According to The Miami News, GAUTIER, Mississippi Chief David Bever of the Gautier Police Department revealed on Thursday that a medical issue had resulted in the death of a teenager.

According to the officials, the student passed out at the fieldhouse of Gautier High School at approximately 3:40 p.m., which is shortly before the school day terminated.

According to officials from the school system, chest compressions were promptly provided by coaches, and 911 was dialed.

Officials have stated that both police and fire units were called to the scene, and that the kid was transported by an ambulance from Acadian to Ocean Springs Hospital for treatment; however, the youngster ultimately passed unexpectedly.

It has been confirmed by Chief Bever that the issue “appears to be a medical incident.” He notes that there is no suspicion of any foul play.

At this point in time, an explanation for the student’s passing is not known.

“The community of Gautier High School and the Pascagoula-Gautier School District is processing an unimaginable tragedy,” the Pascagoula-Gautier School District said in a statement that was posted on Friday. Our thoughts and prayers are with the student’s family and friends during this difficult time. The whole PGSD community is in mourning. At Grove High School, both the faculty and the students have access to mental health support services.

There has been no announcement made on the student’s name at this time.
