The Center for Public Integrity, a watchdog organization that operates on a not-for-profit basis, has just determined that Texas is the most corrupt state in the United States. This conclusion was reached based on criteria that included elements such as ethical standards, accountability of the government, and transparency. Only one city in the state of Texas, Hutchins, is known for its notoriously high level of corruption.
Hutchins, which is located in Dallas County, has a very small population of roughly 6,000 people because of its location.
