We’re providing a flexible part-time role, ideal for students, those seeking additional income, or anyone wishing to spend their summer helping out in a charming village. You’ll be working 24 to 30 hours a week, maintaining our streets and waterways, cutting greenery, and supporting general maintenance tasks. It’s your opportunity to become a true, hands-on part of Alger’s summer life.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Keeping our town looking its best with cleanup and maintenance of streets and waterways.
  • Helping to keep our green spaces tidy with trimming.
  • Assisting with street and sidewalk repairs to keep everyone safe.
  • Tackling a variety of other maintenance projects – every day brings something new!

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Someone who’s self-motivated and ready to jump in.
  • A high school graduate or GED holder.
  • Someone with a valid driver’s license.
  • Someone comfortable with a drug test and background check.
  • Most importantly, someone who enjoys working outside and being part of a team.

Just drop by the Village Office located at 207 Angle Street, Alger. We operate Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, but we break for lunch from noon until 1:00 pm. We’d be thrilled to meet you and talk with you about becoming a member of Alger’s summer team!
