Shane McSwane, who reportedly kidnapped a 22-year-old woman in Denver and drove her across the state against her will, faces a new accusation.
This new charge is unrelated to the alleged kidnapping case.
According to arrest documents obtained by 11 News, McSwane allegedly forced his way into an Aurora woman’s car and drove her across numerous counties for several hours without her will.
According to the records, McSwane robbed a petrol station while they were together.
McSwane is currently in the Pueblo County Jail on several charges, including second-degree kidnapping, aggravated robbery, unlawful sexual contact, second-degree motor vehicle theft, two counts of menacing with a deadly weapon, vehicular eluding, reckless driving, and driving under restraint.
Lakewood Police had issued a warrant for McSwane for attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a case that occurred in their neighborhood.
Pueblo County Sheriff’s Deputies nabbed McSwane on Monday after successfully stopping his vehicle in Huerfano County.
McSwane is expected back in Pueblo court next week.
