Texas Mom Killed in Head-on Crash With Wrong-way Driver Suspected of Being Drunk

A woman has died in a head-on collision with a possible intoxicated motorist on the Northeast Side.

The fatal collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Harry Wurzbach Road near Eisenhauer.

According to police, the mother was in a car with two children, ages 8 and 12, when she was hit head on by a truck driving the wrong way. The impact of the crash caused the pickup vehicle to roll over onto its roof.

The woman was transported to the hospital, where she eventually died of her injuries. The woman was identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office as Karina Ramirez, age 28.

The children were transported to the hospital as a precaution.

The 45-year-old driver of the truck, who was treated for minor injuries, was arrested for drunken manslaughter at a hospital.
