Man Accused of Shooting Daughter’s Ex on Scooter Now Faces 22 Charges

A guy with 17 criminal convictions, according to police, may now have 22 after being arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting in Miami’s Liberty City neighbourhood.

Oberto Fiezemer, 42, of Miami Gardens, is charged with shooting his daughter’s ex-boyfriend in the buttocks in April.

According to Miami police, the incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on April 4 outside a home in the 7000 block of Northwest Fifth Place, right off Interstate 95.

According to the police report, Fiezemer arrived on an electric scooter and began firing, striking the victim and the house many times.

Police claimed several shots passed through a bedroom window while two people were inside.

“I knew it was him, I saw him coming,” the victim stated, according to authorities.

According to authorities, Fiezemer, his daughter, and the victim had an incident on Christmas Eve.

According to the arrest report, Fiezemer is not permitted to own a firearm due to his 17 felonies on record, including convictions for failing to register as a career criminal and child maltreatment on December 9, 2021.

Authorities said he was apprehended Thursday at his home in the 50 block of Northwest 190th Street and charged with attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and using a firearm to commit a felony, as well as two counts of shooting or throwing a deadly missile.

Fiezemer, who has served three periods in state prison, returned to the familiar confines of a cell on Friday, remaining in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre without bond.
