A 13-year-old girl was critically injured Saturday morning when her bicycle was struck by a car in the South Lake Tahoe neighborhood.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the youngster was riding an E-bike when she was struck by an Acura MDX at the intersection of Lake Tahoe Boulevard and Sawmill Road.
According to a press release from the California Highway Patrol, she was catapulted into the air and struck a “snow-paddle marker.”
The girl, a South Lake Tahoe resident, was brought to Barton Memorial Hospital with what the CHP described as life-threatening injuries.
On Sunday, no information was provided about her condition.
The driver, also a South Lake Tahoe resident, was identified as a 56-year-old lady.
